Corporate Social Responsibility Award aims at providing corporate companies, small to medium enterprises, and entrepreneurs with an insight to the main elements of CSR, based on the ISO 2600 criteria. Moreover, this award also aims at allowing individuals working within the business environment, the role and growing importance being given to Corporate Social Responsibility,

This award covers the seven core subjects of CSR, namely organisational governance, human rights, human rights, labour practices, the environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, community involvment and development. Moreover, this award will guide participants in understanding the core subjects in their operations and working practices. In addition, it will show them how to leverage the benefits that can be obtained from implementing Corporate Social Responsibility practices within their organisation.

The course will enable learners to:

  • Understand CSR and its main principles;
  • Learn about organizational governance, human rights, labour practices, the environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, community involvment and development and related issues;
  • Become aware of the benefits of CSR in terms of reputation, competitive advatage, productivity and more;
  • Know the concepts, approaches, standards, methods and techniques allowing to effectively manage a social responsibility programme;
  • Apply the concept of CSR in public and private institutions;
  • Conduct a CSR assessment; and
  • Understand how to go about implementing CSR in their company or business.

Employers will benefit from this course by having a workforce which is equipped with the neccessary knowledge and skills to successfully implement CSR practices at the place of work in a successful manner.

Individuals can benefit from learning more about the basic principles and core subjects of Corporate Social Responsibility, allowing them to be able to implement the aforementioned at the place of work.

This award shall be assessed through the use of Group Work and Group Presentation (40%) and an assignment (60%).
