The main objective of this course is to provide overview of real estate practices and various factors which affect the industry in Malta, including economics, finance and laws.

It will equip them with a working knowledge as well as the fundamentals of the real estate market. Throughout the course, students will gain the following:

– Various communication methods relevant to the real estate market;
– Awareness of the importance of effective analysis and evaluation of properties within the market;
– Awareness of different building styles and techniques;
– Effectiveness of successful communication and how it affects transactions and negotiations;
– The role of accounting, economics, law and data protection in real estate;
– Use proper use of language to pose questions related to dealing with everyday situations both with clients and with colleagues;
– Demonstrate competence in sourcing information from different sources as well as an awareness of the role of IT in real estate;
– Understand various communication methods used in the industry
– Demonstrate awareness of the role of property valuation and the affects that the economy has;
– Demonstrate an understanding basic office procedures concepts;
– Show understanding of consumer needs and ability to process their personal information in a manner that is compliant with GDPR;
– Ensure correct use and differentiation between formal and informal communication;
– Use interpersonal communication both with clients and with colleagues;
– Collaborate effectively throughout the whole process of transactions;
– Manage own time efficiently and effectively;

National Commission for Further and Higher Education

The National Commission for Further and Higher Education (NCFHE) was officially launched on the 14th September, 2012 and is legislated by the revised Education Act which came into force on the 1st August 2012.

NCFHE is an affiliate member of EN​QA, the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education. The Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (QRIC) within NCFHE also forms part of the European Network of Information Centres in the European Region (ENIC) and the National Recognition Information Centres in the European Union (NARIC). The Commission acts also as the National Contact Point for the European Qualifications Framework.

Throughout the years, NCFHE has been a regular contributor to the European forum regulating the European Qualifications Framework and European Meetings of the DG Higher Education, as well as representing Malta on the Europe​an Training Foundation Governing Board. More recently, the NCFHE is also participating on the European Working Group on Modernisation of Higher Education which supports EU member states reforms to maximise the potential of higher education systems.

Entry Criteria

Students should be in possession of at least 3 O Levels, including mathematics, English and Maltese. In the case that individuals are not in possession of the aforementioned requirements, importance and relevance is being given to experience as working in the real estate market.
