Real Estate Agent Award aims at providing an overview of real estate industry in Malta.

The content of this course is based on the Property Law set out in 2018. Therefore, it covers subjects such as Economics, Law, Business, Finance, Communications Skills and other relevant areas. Moreover, it equips learners with a working knowledge as well as the fundamentals of the real estate market. Throughout the course, students will gain the following:

– Various communication methods relevant to the real estate market;
– Awareness of the importance of effective analysis and evaluation of properties within the market;
– Awareness of different building styles and techniques;
– Effectiveness of successful communication and how it affects transactions and negotiations;
– The role of accounting, economics, law and data protection in real estate;

– Use proper use of language to pose questions related to dealing with everyday situations both with clients and with colleagues;
– Demonstrate competence in sourcing information from different sources as well as an awareness of the role of IT in real estate;
– Understand various communication methods used in the industry
– Demonstrate awareness of the role of property valuation and the affects that the economy has;
– Demonstrate an understanding basic office procedures concepts;
– Show understanding of consumer needs and ability to process their personal information in a manner that is compliant with GDPR;

– Ensure correct use and differentiation between formal and informal communication;
– Use interpersonal communication both with clients and with colleagues;
– Collaborate effectively throughout the whole process of transactions;
– Manage own time efficiently and effectively;

Entry Criteria

To be eligible for the course, students should be in possession of at least 3 O Levels, including mathematics, English and Maltese. In the case that individuals are not in possession of the aforementioned requirements, importance and relevance is being given to experience working within the industry of Real Estate.

Mode of Assessment

This course is assessed on the learning outcomes set-out per module.
